Have you heard of Jayasuriya and Afretard? came in as bowlers and ended up as....you know the rest You are jumping the gun. It's about time we evaluated him as a batsman. Nope, he isn't. His main role is bowling and that's what he is selected for. If I want a batsman I would try out likes of Rohit Sharma, Rahane, Pujara or Kohli. No doubt he batted well this match but to have him in the team for his batting would send out wrong message and would be knee-jerk in the extreme.

Mishra does bat well. Was watching him negotiate Swann in the first innings and his forward defense was better than most of our top bats barring may be Sachin and RD.
