NareshK Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 They had a bad outing in England(barring Dravid) and there is another tough series down under in the later part of the year. Another failure and BCCI will be forced to make big changes, among which are finding alternatives to Sachin, Dravid and Laxman. So we may be possibly seeing the last of 1 or 2 of these great batsmen at the end of this year. It kinda makes me sad because its this batting lineup which really put up decent performances overseas and consistently brought the team into winning situations. They got India to No.1 in test rankings and beat all test playing nations in their own territories. The scorelines which we saw recently in the England tour were how India performed all the time overseas in the 90s and even before. I thought they may go out with a last big hurrah in England and later on in Australia. But that's not to be and now with the pressure on them, things are going to get tougher.
Rahul Dravid Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 why always talk about them as a heap of 'oldies' .. players should be seen personally... so sure.. if VVS fails BADLY kick him out.. why kick Rahul and Sachin?.. and vice versa with all three... there is no need to make a BULK change....

Those 3 are as different as they come. All three will have different endings most probably.
