vvvslaxman
What a great advert for domestic cricket! At chepauk Rajasthan was clearly an under dog team. Mukund is in beastly form. Vijay is finding his form. Badri is capable of scoring big especially at chennai. Karthik on his day can score run a ball 150. with their strong lower order batting Rajasthan would not like to give too much time to overhaul their own score. Link to comment
bulbul
How to identify the Ranji winner With Rajasthan losing just two wickets in as many days, and a pitch loaded with runs, the Ranji final has all the makings of a high-scoring draw. In the scenario where Tamil Nadu fail to finish their first innings within the stipulated five days, then the winner would be determined by comparing the run rates. But for that, Tamil Nadu will need to bat at least 30 overs. Also, in case Rajasthan carry on to bat the entire five days or Tamil Nadu fail to bat 30 overs, then as per the prevailing rules, both teams will be declared as joint winners. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ranji-trophy-elite-2011/content/current/story/550288.html Link to comment
bulbul
So Rajasthan just has to Bat all Five days ..it will guarantee them atleast Half cup :two_thumbs_up: Link to comment
ganeshran
If Rajasthan asks TN to bat after putting up a 600+ target, then the scoreboard pressure will cause some quick wickets Link to comment
vvvslaxman
http://www.espncricinfo.com/ranji-trophy-elite-2011/content/current/story/550288.html There is no way Rajasthan is going to win by run rate :cantstop: Link to comment
bulbul
If Rajasthan asks TN to bat after putting up a 600+ target' date=' then the scoreboard pressure will cause some quick wickets[/quote'] what pressure...all they have to do is Keep wickets and Maintain required NRR which is easy as VVS mentioned in below post... TN is having a upper hand in this match barring a collapse Link to comment
ganeshran
Batting for 2.5 days isnt that easy when the team batting first has put up 600+ on board Link to comment
Raghav_12
Rajasthan should be banned for next edition of Ranji for slow over run rate.. But anywyas.. problems lie with rule of first innings lead and pitch. Really poor for final of premier domestic tournament. Link to comment
skindia
if sehwag or uthappa plays as many balls as saxena they would have score 600-700 as individual score.. Link to comment

saneindian
Robin Bisht is spoiling the great season he has had with such a crawling innings in the final. Given the circumstances he could have come out and played aggressively to put a good score and impress the selectors. Not sure what message such a knock, with the match being shown live, would send. Needforspeed
And our BCCI president was supposed to have 'instructed' the curator to make sporting pitches. I used to dislike Pawar..but this guy (Srini) makes Pawar look like a messiah of Indian cricket. Link to comment
