And then we wonder why don't we see honesty in bureucracy at least, where u have educated folks unlike politics where illiteracy and idiocy is prevalent. Six transfer in six months, wife of the officer has sought reason on basis of RTI needless to say she is being threatend by powers to be . http://www.ibnlive.com/news/ias-officers-wife-wages-rti-battle/43517-3.html here is the website she has put in place showing details and seeking support. http://fightcorruption.wikidot.com/

I saw this report on NDTV - im glad the media are acting as an anti-curruption force.
true. a free press is essential for fighting corruption and covert action. infact, nobel laurete Dr. Amartya Sen said that "No democracy with a relatively free press has ever experienced a famine of considerable proportions for a prolonged duration". i just hope that this matter is pursued and i glad to find the "freedom of information act" equivalent i.e. "right to information" in india as well.

still too much foreign ownership is in electronic media in india ( u can check the thread of rajeev he poted it sometime back) ..so it's free no doubt but very biassed.. now news like this has no political overtone so gets reported without spin..
