Bowlers always had a crap average except Zaheer.

Even zaheer's average is poor but it has improved recently, but less said about the current bowlers the better.

I did a bit of calculation myself, I found out the previous averages and current averages of the Indian batsmen Sachin Tendulkar- Previous average:56.9 Current average:56.2 Difference: -0.7 Rahul Dravid- Previous average:52.4 ........Current average:53.0 Difference: +0.6 VVS Laxman- Previous average:47.4 .......Current average:46.3 Difference: -1.1 Gautam Gambhir- Previous average:51.3..Current average:48.3 Difference: -3.0 M.S. Dhoni- Previous average:38.7............Current average:38.1 Difference: -0.6 Suresh Raina- Previous average:37.8........Current average:29.6 Difference: -8.2

For new batsmen averages fluctuate a lot with performances. For players like Tendulkar decrease or increase is very less.

so because of one bad Test series (in which all Indian batsmen except Dravid failed) Raina should never play for India again :ohmy:

Gambhir's average has fallen massively since the SA series in early 2010 in India. He was around 56-57 then, 48 now. No test century for him since Jan 2010.
