Around 125 kmph (78 mph) are probably the quickest bowling speeds, one can expect to encounter at club level. Most of the quick club level bowlers are around the 120 kmph (75 mph) mark. LOL @ people claiming to just walk up and be able to bowl 130-134 kmph.
yeah that is right. Guys who are playing and in practicing daily rarely can bowl 80 mph. 75-80 mph is a limit for ordinary to club bowlers. After that, guys must have some thing in him to generate more pace.

:gossip: bhai pagla gaye ho ? I faced 80mph on a batting machine (baseball) once, and left with my pants wet. Couldn't touch a single ball.
But who bowled to you?

Seriously I have played with and against some of the brightest talents in english cricket at 16' date='17 and they clock between 75-80 and are absolute wheels. People have no idea about speed unless they actually play the game to a decent standard. In your club you have every bowler above 75 MPH yet the India national team usually has 2 bowlers in the 75-80 mph range, you have no idea what you are talking about. Im sure if I came to your club and bowled you would say i was in the 80's but im nowhere near.[/quote'] 75-80 mph is quick for amateurs not professionals. For people who do not play regularly and if they suddenly face 75-80 mph, they will definitely find it very quick. I am talking about professional and club cricketers. How it is having 75 mph bowler in club and 2 bowlers in Indian team are related to each other. We have 80 mph bowler in Indian team because in India you mostly have that kind of bowlers who bowl 75-80 mph, so selectors have to chose the best among them. Most professional and registered clubs in India will have bowlers who can bowl 75-80 mph and it is common even in state Ranji Teams. You don't get any genuine fast bowler even in state teams because they don't have those at club or academy levels. Fast bowling rarely comes natural to Indian and this is a rare species in Indian cricket. Other than that, Indian cricket culture does not encourage bowling fast. We have a trundling culture at club and junior level. At club level every bowler is taught to bowl accurate line and length and pace can come later. This is the thinking which does not let the guys put effort and try to bowl fast. Whenever some one tries to bowl fast and gets wayward, coach and seniors will scold him for that. They will usually say, " Shoiab Akhtar na ban, sidhi ball daal" means "dont try to become Shoiab Akhtar, bowl straight" Bowlers at club levels and in coaching academies cannot even bowl bouncers and if someone bowls, he will again be scolded by saying, "aage khila." means "bowl up to the batsman." This is the culture here in terms of fast bowlers that is why we see 75-80 mph bowler in Indian team most often than not. If you had been in India, you would get to know this.
