All set ? I don't think so. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

him and rooney wont be able to play in same team. tevez is better then rooney He needs to sign a leader of the line not another link man
Exactly. They are far too similar in their style of play. I don't know how Fergus will incorporate both of them into the same formation without pulling one of them out of position. Waste of money.

Here is Tony Cascarino's analysis of United's forward line, should we get Carlos Tevez. "Four-pronged attack will have all defenders running scared Tony Cascarino: Analysis Wow! If Carlos Tévez joins Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson goes with the flow, fielding one of the most adventurous forward lines seen in the Barclays Premier League, it is going to be one hell of a sight. The prospect of Tévez, Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo playing together makes the mouth water. It will be like watching Barcelona in full flight. It will also bring tears to the eyes of opposing defenders. How on earth are they going to counteract the Famous Four, with each of the quartet interchanging positions on a whim and hurling themselves towards the penalty area. Even the most well organised of rearguards will be tied in knots. Barça play the same way: it’s all about pace, movement and being adaptable. In fact, it’s so exciting, it’s almost scary. It’ll be like the United team of the late Nineties, when they averaged about three goals a game. Perhaps even better. Playing without a lone front man, as Ferguson has preferred in the past, should not be a problem. Tévez and Rooney, the two angry pitbulls, can operate with their backs to goal, holding up the ball for Ronaldo and Giggs to surge into the spaces. There might be a lack of an aerial threat, but Ronaldo is not bad in the air when he arrives late in the box and, anyway, with the four of them twisting, turning and weaving their merry magic, the defenders will be struggling to keep a clear head let alone sort out the marking. It could be mayhem. It will be so hard to play against. Can you imagine what the full backs and centre backs will be saying to each other? “Right, I’ll stop him, you stop him and . . . oh, God, here comes another one.” United will attack from all angles and directions, a constant stream of high-class penetration that could be impossible to prevent. OK, some critics might point out that Barcelona won nothing last season. But hang on, they finished level on points with Real Madrid, the champions, and, despite having a vastly superior goal difference, they lost on that crazy head-to-head rule in La Liga. In any other European country, Barça would have won the title. Tévez would be a marvellous addition to the United squad. He initially struggled to adapt to his new life at West Ham United, but, once he had settled, he showed just what a character he is. He has the heart of a lion and saved West Ham from relegation almost single-handedly. He will also bring set-piece expertise to Old Trafford, probably for the first time since David Beckham left for Spain. Ronaldo can be a bit hit-and-miss in these situations, but Tévez has that unerring ability to get the ball up and down quickly. It will add another string to United’s frightening bow. Fergie’s new plan could have a kamikaze element to it and, accordingly, a sacrifice will have to be made in midfield. Owen Hargreaves must be the primary ball-winner. Paul Scholes can sit a bit deeper but still set up most of the plays, as he has done for years. Michael Carrick is likely to be the loser when United play four forwards. However, away from home and against more powerful sides, Ferguson may opt to play three in midfield, with Carrick operating ahead of Hargreaves. That system would be more solid but almost as frightening to the opposition. But I would like to see Ferguson persist with the four-pronged attack in the Champions League. Too often in Europe, he gets a bit conservative. Go on, Fergie. Like Barça, give it a real go." Our attack would be so awesome!! Potential match-winners right throughout the forward line. If this team couldn't get the job done, I don't know what would. Can you imagine a forward line of Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo, Giggs with Nani and Anderson on the bench?? Nuts!!
