I am :winky: but seriously I think 7 match series are too many, 5 maximum, and test matches should be atleast a 3 match series. Look at recent SA vs AUS series, 2 great games but why not more?

because ODIs can not continue subsidizing Test matches.

we are playing 7 ODIs because bcci doesnot want to play 5 tests... 4 max but in the new ftp ecb wished for 5 tests hen india tours to england in 2014 and 2018 and so to compensate that we needed to play more games in india as the test series in india remains a 4-test affair... therefore we play 7 ODIs... its about what sells in which country... a test match in england will always bring a packed house and a ODI in India will bring a packed house... its giving people what the want to see...

thing is i dont even remember what happened in majority of odis maybe bcos they arent relevant or maybe bcos there are 2 many 7 match series is madness test on other hand if pitch is good enough they always produce good cricket 5 match test series in enever boring against 2 good teams but 7 match odis is imo 5 odis should be max. t20 intl are not even played seriously anything they should be scrapped only t20 intl world cup gets popular
