I dont think it will change hands.Neo will again get the rights but BCCI will get improved value IMO.Its just a tactic of BCCI to get more money from Neo IMO. IIRC there was something similar happened couple of years ago and Neo and BCCI sorted it among themselves similarly.

Maybe this is an agreement between Neo & BCCI. With all India's home assignment over for the time being...its a way to stop showing the loss making domestic games...& wait for next India games to start.

why??? they provide the best telecast' date=' have the best commentators,[u'] have all the new technologies before Neo/Ten sports so whats your problem? p.s. Is it because they don't show much of minnow cricket :hmmm:
Bullshit Espn star do not even have a decent speed gun ,They get direct feed from channel nine or sky they would be no better technologically than neo,But genral coverage and comentary would surely be better.

Does that mean no more domestic cricket on Neo for the rest of the season? Ranji knockouts, Duleep Trophy, Deodhar Trophy , will we get to watch none of those? Would be a massive disappointment.

I hope it won't affect the coverage of the domestic season this year 2011-12. I was very much looking forward to it. Neo was doing a good job in this regard. Some of their shows are really good like Dial C For Cricket and Cricket Central. I also like their commitment towards cricket. Their 1st preference has always been cricket whether its Neo Cricket or Neo Sports. You don't know how the new broadcasters are going to be like. I just hope it wont go Zee sports. Its most boring channel.

yeah, and Neo doesn't even get that so at the end of the day the telecast is much better on ESPN/Star than on Neo.

This is a worry. Hadnt thought about this before. If rights go to ESPN and like which have much more programming, I doubt if they would show Ranji and others domestic tourneys.

Exactly and even the ranji finals from 16th is in jeopardy....seems like we are gonna miss out on the action of our domestic trundlers

lets see what happens. ESPN-Star also has 3 channels out of which Star Cricket doesn't have much live programming so they will show it if they buy the rights. Maybe the BCCI will auction the rights for domestic matches and India matches separately so that 2 different networks can buy it - will generate more revenue for BCCI also.

BCCI asks its broadcasters to telecast a minimum of 40 days of domestic cricket. Think its part of the overall TV broadcast deal. But now that they have cancelled Neo's contract (which will go to court and msot likely get the decison stayed till final decision), it would mean the board and broadcaster in a legal fight and hence no live telecast of the domestic games unless the courts direct Neo/BCCI to ensure viewer's are not deprived of domestic cricket telecast. Courts

Neo won't do it for free and BCCI won't pay it a single penny to telecast the domestic matches now that the deal has been scrapped. So maybe someone like DD Sports may get to telecast the remaining Domestic matches :hmmm: its all just speculation though.
