Yadavanator Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 There is no chance that Hogg will get picked for T/20' date=' the selectors will go for younger players as recalling a 40 year-old doesn't offer much future for any side[/quote'] Wrong...there is a World Cup in September this year, for goodness sakes. Why wouldn't you pick your best team to win that tournament? And at the moment, Hogg is clearly the best T20 spinner in Australia.

If he is the best spinner in t20 at the moment for the Aussies (and he clearly is), then he should be picked irrespective of age. its up to the young kids to knock him out of the spot IMO.

He may be bowling well, but I also have concerns about he will go on the pitches in Sri Lanka which do not offer anywhere near the same level of bounce which is one of Hogg's main strengths
Aussie-r-best Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Anyone see Afridi's WIDE, last ball of the innings to lose last night... That was a shocker. Investigation underway into why bowl a wide that was lucky to hit the pitch.. At least it has changed up from no balls..:giggle:

Yadavanator Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Perth Scorchers beat Melbourne Stars to be the first team into the final and into the Champions League too. :two_thumbs_up: Just got home from the game, it was electric! Hogg 2/17 off 4 Gibbs made a quick 71 off 46 balls, Mitch Marsh 41* off 21 at the death with two huge sixes. Luke Ronchi took a one handed stunner to get rid of Dave Hussey first ball off Edmonson.
Sidhoni Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Scorchers will be really happy with 156 after the 2 wkts they lost to Lee in the first over
