Raghav_12 Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Awesome. Other than the in-depth account on events, in days leading to India's independence, I had loved language used by author in book. It is, I would say gorgeous, as I don't seem to be finding a better word.

Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 this is an excellent book. i recommend it to anyone. one of the best i have ever read. once u start reading it, you won't put it down. gripping. even mroe exciting when you realise that its a true account based on actual events Brilliant and insightful. The only thing I didn't like was that it was a bit too sympathetic towards the British Empire. as it should have been. those guys had no ****ing clue what to do when riots were going on all across the country. they just wanted to get the hell out of there. i think the two authors conveyed that sentiment of chaos very clearly, framed it in the right context, and it served to make the story of independent india's abortion-style birth a lot more meaningful.
