bulbul Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 dude I have asked a simple question ( ATG bowlers from Bradmans time) atleast 3 times and everytime you provide some vague answer never comming up with a clear simple answer. If this is not trolling then what is ? Harold Larwood Bill Voce Gubby Allen All died
bulbul Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Ahh finally some names :woot:. So you would pick these guys ahead of Ambrose' date='Walsh,Bishop,Steyn,Waqar,Wasim in your team ?[/quote'] 1.when did i told that 2. What if they are not in Top 10 or 15 or 25 ? there are instances where with right Pitch and condition even trundlers wrecked havoc... 3. Forget about the names you mentioned even the WI 80's Pace quartet is enough for a team (you know why i mentioning this) end of the day we cant just decide Bradman is Not good because the players are not in ATG list.
zen Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 do you first of understand the illogic and absurdity of reducing five man or four man attack into two and then irrationally declaring bcl or so and so averaged "against these bowlers" when it actually shud mean "against the attack"?? there is a huge difference in what are these one or two bowlers more relevant for "these numbers" ? superior stature or greatness or quality does not translate into greater relevance for these so called "data" (trash anyway because you didn't do basic stat right) Neither guys like you can do basic stat right. and you have all been perpetrating a massive fraud putting forth unreliable garbage data and irrationally relating great bowlers to these "data" without any proper basis. It is against the attack with those two bowlers "Vs team: w/ a&b" is suppose tell something, no? Also if you had understood the post it ..... Anyways I ll take yours as one more comical posts on this thread .... nothing wrong with the stats. Only thing wrong with it is that it doesn't suit Tendulkar and since it doesn't it must be wrong :giggle:
zen Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Ahh finally some names :woot:. So you would pick these guys ahead of Ambrose' date='Walsh,Bishop,Steyn,Waqar,Wasim in your team ?[/quote'] And SRT does well against a bowling attack with these vs his peers :haha:
bulbul Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 BB ...some serious questions 1.Do you wont agree Bradmans greatness Because you Worship Sachin.. 2.Lack of Evidence from Old era 3.Do you really think Pitch or conditions doesnt matter there 4.Strongly believe all these year all the experts and whole world got Brainwashed by Bradman propogonda machinery 5.Did you ever thought twice whether Benefit of doubt regarding above can be given to Bradman or Not...
zen Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Also if we take the new crop of bowlers, SRR vs other Indian batsmen: Vs steyn-morkel, murali-mendis, anderson-board M I No R Avg Gautam 12 22 0 1135 51.59 Sehwag 15 27 1 1339 51.50 Dravid 15 28 3 1187 47.48 Sachin 15 27 2 963 38.52 Laxman 16 28 3 941 37.64 Taking bowlers that mainly both Lara and Tendulkar played, with two best from each team playing (to signify the strength of the bowling attack), we get the below: M I No R Avg BCLara 36 68 3 3370 51.85 sWaugh 42 66 7 2745 46.53 Inzama 33 56 3 2365 44.62 Anwar 20 33 0 1402 42.48 Sachin 29 49 1 2020 42.08 mWaugh 39 63 2 2408 39.48 Flower 24 44 7 1396 37.73 Dravid 33 58 4 2034 37.67 vs Aus: w/ McGrath and Warne vs Pak: w/ Wasim and Waqar vs SA: w/ Donald and Pollock vs SL: w/ Murali and Vaas vs WI: w/ Ambrose and Walsh / thread
bulbul Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 / thread Rett.. Do you have details like what kind of pitches these players involved.. some one showed u r stat for Murali vs S Waugh is biased...as he scored 130 Runs in one innings and failed in SL... What my opinion is eventhough Murli is considered a Great but he went to OZ and played in those pitches he is even worse than Bhajji... So without seeing at exactly what kind of pitches these peoiple played each other how do we conclude playing against ATG bowlers will decide whether Brdaman is Great or Not?
zen Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 And this has what to do with determining absolute cricketing skills ? SRT's performance against such bowling attack is : X Bradmans performance against such bowling attack is : 0 Thats the end of the story. Bradman 1928-48 Hutton 1937-55 Sobers 1954-74 Richards 1974-91 Tendulkar 1989-present Note the over-lapping to :--D
bulbul Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 And this has what to do with determining absolute cricketing skills ? SRT's performance against such bowling attack is : X Bradmans performance against such bowling attack is : 0 Thats the end of the story. but you will never think that Conditions does matter ? Half the OZ vs England matches played in England...as for as i know England condiitons suits to Bowling...evenm now Anderson called as a Home condition bowler... so why you wont even think a minute These trundlers may cause litttle bit problem to Bradman...
akshayxyz Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 http://indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=212051 thats another Bradman thread almost 3 times as big as this for you to kill some time :cantstop: for dumdum.. if polls are anything to go by..
