Dont know abt anything else...but watching cricket on Star Cricket HD is a pleasure to the eyes. Surprised to see no speed guns so far in the match. Yadav is definitely looked the fastest Indian bowler & probably the 2nd fastest in the match.

Before the start of the match and after the toss, teams were line up with kids outside holidng the flag of both the nations. Just like last year. Star cricket though were busy showing IBALL XTRA.

Very bad coverage today as well in the morning. Same case of not sorting out the things before the match. Then you will surely face problem during the match. No speedometers by Star Cricket today as well :((

we have the most richest board in the world, but still we lack technical usage, for instance udrs cost quite a lot amount for its step up, no speed guns shown in star cricket, heart beat counts, superslowmo etc whcich some other crick playing nations have installed

As for the Speedgun' date=' guess they are not showing it coz they didn't find a sponsor?[/quote'] I don't really understand it. Even the broadcast of domestic matches carry speedguns, so I assume it won't be that expensive. Inexplicable really.

I believe ESS earns more than channel 9. Why do they disrespect indian fans like this? They are treating us like 3rd class passengers. Maggots.

Does Channel 9 have a speedgun this series?

Yes they have it. But their commentary team sucks. 2 cheerleaders(healy and slats), 1 racist grumpy old man(greig) whose only job on air is to whinge about drs and make sarcastic comments about the Indian team, one old man(richie) who's a legend without doubt but hardly speaks, one utterly boring (nicholas) and two decent( tubby and lawry)

can someone PLEASE put a sock in Harsha Bhogle's mouth?? THE most irritating commentator EVER!.. CONSTANT yapping!! doesn't even let other commentators get something in. I have to endure him for half n hour when I am driving home from work and listening to ABC australia. At home (in the US), I watch the live stream from sky sports ... sooo much better.

As for the Speedgun' date=' guess they are not showing it coz they didn't find a sponsor?[/quote'] I think this is just a non-sense excuse. Speedometers are there in all domestic matches then it is just a BIG failure on the part of ESPN-Star not to install it Indian audiences. Speed-guns should be made integral part of each and every match. We are living in 2012 now, not in 1972. Every big sports have all the technologies. Then why is Cricket lacking behind with so much money now-a-days. I believe this is just partiality to the Indian audiences. When matches are played in India, we are not shown any technology, no hawk-eyes even whereas now when matches are being played in Australia, they don't have basic speedometers for Indian Audiences. Whereas Channel 9 has all the equipments from Hot spot to heart beat meters.

I had created another thread, but will continue the discussion in this thread. I am not referring to the hot spot or ads or speedometers. Just the picture quality - it used to have more clarity. Check these videos in youtube 8rN_h667-CI&feature=related CytIeqPyk0g&feature=related Maybe this quality is reserved only in HD now?
