Dravid_TheWall Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I have had enough of this guy. I have been calling for his dropping about a year since he made his debut. 4 years on, we are still carrying this journeyman. I do think he definitely needs to be given the boot and even if he performs in domestic, they should think carefully before choosing him again. Just like you get domestic batsmen who are Gods but suck at International, Ishant is at best only good for state batsmen. Tired of him bowling mediocre or bowling crap at the pads. I do believe we should play Mithun or Vinay in next test. They can only do better and if they do worse, at least we can throw them off the selection radar for good too. :cantstop:

Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I find it astounding that the guy is unable to pitch the ball just a foot further up. Surely that can't be all that difficult for an intl bowler. If he continues to bowl the way he is, i.e. short of good length, he will continue to beat the edge and look good only in highlights with no wkts to show for his efforts. I agree it's high time we bring someone else a chance. Maybe Vinay will surprise us all.
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 are you retarded' date=' ishant bowled better than yadav.[/quote'] But he still hasn't altered his length to bowl fuller. He will continue to beat the batsman and will never get too many wkts that way.
Jersey #10 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 are you interested in meethoon and veeeneey?
Dravid_TheWall Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 are you retarded' date=' ishant bowled better than yadav.[/quote'] Well done for a 4 year old veteran outbowling someone in the early stages of his test career. Yadav will still have better bowling stats for series than Ishant. If you are comparing him to rookies than you seriously have issues. Wickets still elude Ishant, not Yadav. Indian fans like you no **** all. ZK did the hard work and it was up to a senior player like Ishant to support him but he failed. Yadav took 7 wickets in last test so don't know what you are talking about.
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 are you interested in meethoon and veeeneey? If we lose this test and Ishant continues to bowl short of length, I say we give a chance to Vinay. It can't be any worse than the current situation and Vinay at least pitches the ball up.
Dravid_TheWall Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 are you interested in meethoon and veeeneey? Yep. I can't decide who I want for 3rd test. With Aussies exploiting fuller length, VK might be better support for ZK and Yadav than Ishant. He should get decent swing and has upped his pace. I don't rate him but he won't do worse than Ishant. May as well play him, what is the point in having a backup seamer if he can't be relied upon to replace an out of sorts supposed first line seamer.
VRV Singh Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 You don't play Mithun or Vinay Kumar out of choice. You may as well take a gun to the toss and shoot yourself.

Yes man, of course speed is all that matters. If Ishant hits 155k maybe we can keep him for another 4 years.
Dravid_TheWall Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 Unless Ishant deliveries a magical performance in this on going test he should be dropped.

Dravid_TheWall Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 im sure dhoni will listen to you :hysterical: This is a cricket based discussion amongst fans, not Dhoni helpline. How did you miss such a simple point :hatsoff:
Karan114 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 If he can take wickets in this game then he merits a spot for Perth. But another failure and I think it will be worth giving Vinay a shot. I'm not a fan of Vinay by any means but if Ishant can't seriously improve on his average of 60 in Australia then we need to try someone else.

I don't think he will, hope he proves me wrong. But looks to be up to ZK and Yadav to get us back into this game. Maybe next game even try Ojha for Ashwin.
jhakati Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 he will take fifer now... he's bowled well enough to get 5, been very unlucky for some excellent bowling spells.
dragonfly Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 are you retarded' date=' [b']ishant bowled better than yadav. That sums it up.:giggle::giggle:
