Prudent Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 With already 21 individual titles to her name, Wang is known in the badminton circuit for not giving an inch to her opponents. Nehwal has yet to figure how to unravel that particular riddle. Saina was realistic about her chances in the semis without sounding overtly confident. "It's very, very difficult as the Chinese are strong opponents. We will both be under the pressure of expectations but I am not thinking about all that." http://www.hindustantimes.com/Specials/Sports/Olympics2012/Chunk-HT-UI-Olympics-Discipline-Badminton/Saina-s-big-test-today-to-take-on-world-No-1-Yihan-Wang/SP-Article10-907468.aspx
kabira Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Does Krishna Poonia have any chance of medal...She did well in recent athletic meet in USA.
Raghav_12 Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 is there any chance for a medal in hockey? :haha::haha: Better question would have been, if there any chance of India avoiding one of the bottom three positions. My answer is NO.
Roshanrocks Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 OK First we have Saina Nehwal take on No.1 playaer at 1.30 pm We also have @ 130 pm, 50m rifle rpone qualifications, where Gagan Narang and karmakar Joydeep participating amongst 61 shooters... Top 8 qualify for finals
King Tendulkar Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 30 mins and she takes on world no 1. She has never beaten her either. Amazing if she can beat her
Prudent Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Does Krishna Poonia have any chance of medal...She did well in recent athletic meet in USA. She is only the 9th best, so no chance I guess.
varun Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Barring some miracles, don't think there's any chance of Indian medals today in athletics going by personal bests of the field. In Shooting, Gagan and Joydeep *could* advance to the next round, but only if they don't choke. We have one guy in the 1500m swimming - A Wildcard entry. His personal best is 30 seconds off the rest lol. Realistically, gotta brace for a day of disappointments today.
JaFanatic Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 :haha::haha: Better question would have been, if there any chance of India avoiding one of the bottom three positions. My answer is NO. its ok ours is not a world beating side but still disappointed..
varun Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 This is reminding me of the Kashyap-Chong Wei encounter in the second game :(
JaFanatic Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 saina looking so week against wang trailing 8-16
varun Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Don't think she's nervous.. She's just being outplayed.
