Ultimate_Game Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Looks like some of you watching Indian cricket from last 4/5 years Been following the team since 90s... thought those were the dark days and suddenly we are time warped straight into 50s and 60s :(( I have a slightly different problem. I have gained weight... coz every time an Indian wicket falls, I eat ice cream. It's depressing and it feels like I am stuck in a vicious cycle. That must be lots of ice cream :haha:
amiret Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I am not depressed because i have been expecting this disaster after the SA tour. We managed to win 1 test but most our batsmen were very poor. I think i will start caring again once we drop Gambhir ,Sehwag, Dravid ,Laxman , Pisshant AND Dhoni
Raghav_12 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I came pretty close to break my keyboard by punching on it. Now I have stopped watching matches altogether. In Perth test, I wouldn't have watched more than some 10 overs in total. I go to sleep after having a glance at the misery and will wake up in morning with hope that things might have changed. But it's same story all the time - Wake up with alarm, immediately switch on laptop to have a look at EoD score, Throw away laptop, Go back to sleep to avoid frustration, Get late to reach office. I swear many times I feel I am pretty close to stop watching cricket. This is most insipid display by Indian team in my cricket watching of last 20 years or so.
DomainK Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I was smart enough to switch off the tv and close the browsers in time.
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 But my keyboard got damaged when I was playing computer games and continuously getting beaten :((

Your team got whitewashed last three tours to Oz.
Sundar88 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 At least we won the world cup. After the 2007 debacle I was reasonably convinced I would never see India winning the world cup in my lifetime. Yes we've hit an all-time low in test Cricket at the moment but I am hopeful. The next 3 world T20's will be played in the subcontinent if I remember correctly, I'd be delighted if we manage to win 2 or at least 1 of those. Still too early to think about the 2015 world cup. I don't think we'll ever win test series in Australia or South Africa unless some significant long-term changes are made so I've stopped hoping for that to happen.

We hit our lowest point in the 2007 WC and came back to win the next one by investing in youth and retiring two members of the 10000 run club (Dada and The Wall). If Virat, Rohit, Pujara, Yadav live up to their promise we'll win. Look at England's last two tours to Oz.
