Post-match Press Conference Sylhet Royals icon player Alok Kapali talked to the press after his team's defeat to Duronto Rajshahi. Question: What do you think was the turning point of the game? Your expensive over or the catch in the outfield? Alok Kapali (AK): I think the brilliant catch (taken by Fawad Alam) was the turning point of the game. Q: Third defeat in as many games. Any thoughts on why your team lost all of the games so far? AK: Actually, we are lacking something. We batted well in the first game, we bowled well in the second game but did not bat according to expectations, while in this game our fielding could have been a bit better. We dropped two catches, especially the one of Samuels (Marlon) was vital. I think this is the reason. We were lacking something in every match. We could not combine the three departments (batting, bowling and fielding) together. I hope we can do better in the future. Q: Any thoughts on the upcoming games? AK: Anything is possible in T20 cricket. If we can rectify our mistakes, we will be in a good position in the future games. Q: What was the idea behind Sohail Tanvir being promoted up the batting order? AK: A left-arm spinner was bowling at that time of the innings so we decided to promote him up the order. Q: Do you think the pitch was okay or did it change during the duration of the game? AK: I do not think the wicket was a problem. It was not acting any different. Man-of-the-match of the encounter for his attacking innings and economical bowling, Marlon Samuels gave his thoughts on the match. Question: The catch turned the game on its head. Do you agree? Marlon Samuels (MS): Well, I mean, we have been fielding well, even though we dropped a couple in the first game. Obviously, catches win matches. The catch was definitely the turning point of the game. It was a wonderful catch, a great catch. Q: Is fielding more difficult under the lights? MS: Most definitely, I mean, when you are fielding under the lights, it is always difficult. It is always tough to catch the ball under the lights. You still have to take catches to win the game though. Q: Do you think your team's success depends a lot on your batting exploits? MS: I am here to play a big role for my team. I am not pressurising myself to win games because I have won games in the past. I always try to come up with a plan with the bat or the ball. Definitely, if they need me, I will try my best. Today my team was under the cosh a little and I came up trumps. I will keep on trying my best whenever my team needs me in the upcoming games. Q: The Caribbean players are having a ball in the BPL with several players from the region picking up the man-of-the-match award. Any special reason behind this? MS: Well, we have been playing better in the games. Our players have made a good mark in the competition so far. Chris Gayle has traveled a lot and played many T20 games, doing exceptionally well. Even though we are not playing a lot of international T20 games, we have many players playing the shortened format of the game over the world and doing well.

Dhaka Gladiators Head Coach is Ian Pont, the mastermind behind creating the team and blending the squad, and coaching them into a cohesive unit. He is the bowling coach India should have appointed instead of an aussie. Pont should get an IPL contract as he can make a difference. Look what he has done with Haryana this Ranji season! In this day and age when coaches are just appointed based on who they are/were or who knows who, this guy has success wherever he goes. I am so happy that my state has him advising them and he is setting up a pace academy at Lahli and a pacer hunt.
