BTW, he opened in Perth in 2008 and done reasonably well.

The only problem with him is his strike rate. I was looking for a batsman like Virender Sehwag, who can be aggressive at the top in all conditions. Hope we can find someone like him

I am sure Abu Nechim will first come in One day team then test team. This IPL will be very important for him as everyone will be looking for an improved Abu Nechim.

He has not done bad in his recent matches. I am sure once 2 out of BIG 3 retires in next test series, Yuvraj will be a certainty. Bisla and Karthik are 2 best keeper batsmen that we have batting-wise. Saha is the best wicket keeper in India today. So that depends on our needs. I know Bisla has low batting average, but so did Dhoni had. But, Bisla is very talented and recently he has improved his game a lot. He has a very good attacking game. He was injured thats y he was not playing for Himachal this season.

Have you seen him play? What about Manish Pandey? He has lots of promise. I remember his first ever century in IPL in South Africa

But if we are unable to take 20 wickets in a match or allow the opposition to make huge scores, we will not have any chance of even saving the match.. No matter how much you blame the batsmen in the last series, it's the Aussie bowlers who setup the WIN for the team.. In the recent matches which Australia lost, they were 'outbowled' by the opposition, instead of 'outbatting' them.. So even if you keep on balming the Indian batsmen, the bowlers had a major part to play in the recent screw up of 8-0..

Rohit Motwani (Mumbai), Age 21, FC avg - 41.28 3. W.Saha, Age 27, FC avg -40.48 4. Parthiv Patel, Age 26, FC avg -FC avg - 40.71 5. Dinesh Kartik, Age 26, FC avg -39.21 6. Gautam CK, Age 25, FC avg -38.97 7. Naman Ojha, Age 28, FC avg -38.46 Of the lot I feel Uday Kaul and Rohit Motwani are the most promising and are genuine batting talents. Rohit is only 21 and looks like a good prospect.

I guess you are going by Bisla's IPL performances. He's hardly consistent and his technique would be exposed bigtime in Test cricket. Ratra had captained HP this year, so even if he comes back he'll not be the first choice. I too like Yuvraj and hope he finally makes the grade at Test level. Regarding the spinner, I am yet to see a world-beating spinner emerging out of India for some time. A leggie specially!

Rohit is only 21 and looks like a good prospect. Rohit is too young now. Needs at least one more season at the highest level. And he's been playing in the Plate Division all this while. Did decently in the zonal match though. Uday Kaul doesn't even get through to the zonal teams. He needs a good IPL season to be noticed. I'd still prefer that a keeper gets selected because of his keeping talents and not his batting talent. We are a batting powerhouse anyway. :giggle:

I remember his first ever century in IPL in South Africa Give Tiwary a decent run and then we'll see. He is normally asked to report straight to the ground from the airport after a 12-hr flight. And promptly dumped after the match. Did you see him play awkwardly against short balls somewhere? Even if that is a problem, he needs to (like Raina) work that out. Kohli seemed to have the same problem after the WI series, now he looks better. You'll always have a few handicaps when you try to make that transition from the domestic to the international.
