The only thing I can think of as more embarrassing woold be losing a shortened ODI (shortened to 30 overs) by 80 odd runs..... Yep how would lose like that, which minnow is it..... Nope it was the "World Cumps" embarrassing :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

And again before India test series, New Zealand won in a test match against Against Australia in Australia in Hobart and draw the series :--D And BTW, only 1 match is finished. I am sure India will go on to win the series this time as well

Yep we had some bad results in 2009 (a bit before and a bit after) but lets look at it in context.... In that period, we had just lost, Warne, McGrath, Hayden, Langer, Gilchrist, Lehman and some others at a rung below these.... So with the wholesale change of the team, you would (if your brain is turned on and in reality world) say that those departures will affect the team and its competitiveness and it did.... Now, we are building a new team and results are starting (despite the odd one test or one ODI in the middle here and there) to show some real promise, and that frightens the living cr@p out of cricket supporters the world over.... Will the Aussies get back to world domination before to long.... How do Indi alook in the near and mediaum term future.... Many retirements and barring Kholi, the "young guns" raina and others have shown they are only ok not good or great (outside SC).... worrying times coming up... hahahahahaha Short lived temporary world No. 1 rankings mean nothing especially when you only receive (not earn) those accolades on the basis of some home town heroics... In the case of India, there is like this bemuda triangle thing that their cricket ability miraculously disapears the minute they get on a plane out of the country... Perhaps it is part of the cost of the departure tax paid when leaving india... In the case of England, any decent spinner will knock over this brittle attack.... Sure they beat Australia in Australia (once in 25 years is not a bad record) but who did they beat, a new developing side with little or now experience... awsome result... As for the Pakis, well they haven't beaten Australia in Australia this century (watch the pakis come out now and miss the point and the words uused and say "oh but we beat you away from Aus once - dopey buggers)... So I say take the short lived temporary and unsupported world No. 1 rankings and themeaningless Asia Cups (which no one else cares about or even really knows exists it is that irrelevant - all it shows is who is the best FTB of the time)... We will be back to where we rightly belong before long.... The Ashes will return home to Australia where they belong.. Aus will get back to No.1 and be able to support it by winning away everywhere not just against minnows away, keep the No.1 ODI ranking but I don't recall anyone else actually ever holding the No. 1 OD ranking, the Aussies dominance has been there that long, Champions Trophy successes again (although it is not that important to many) and more ODI WCs, I know we have 4 already and it gets boring seeing us dominate you all so often, but we love it and we willsee it again soon enough:giggle:

While I agree with some of the points mentioned above, Aussie fans have to remember that it works both ways here. Australia, England and South Africa are struggling in the sub-continent and we are struggling outside of it. Australia have not won a Test match (forget series) in India in the last 7 years. England and South Africa have not got the job done in India either. Australia winning in Sri Lanka is the equivalent of us winning in New Zealand. Neither New Zealand or Sri Lanka are strong Test teams. Right now its a case of the top 4 teams (in no particular order) being England, South Africa, Australia and India all fairly even. Its a case of who can triumph in unfamiliar conditions first. Current form suggests Australia, but there is no guarantee. However, i wouldn't write off the Indian youngsters yet. Most of the players from Australia's losing Ashes last year have improved significantly and bounced back, e.g. Ponting, Clarke, Hilfenhaus, Siddle, Harris, etc. If India can get their administration in order, there's no reason they can't do the same.
