chainsmoker1985 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Because we play most of our cricket in the sub-continent. Better to have a subcontinental specialist than not having one. We'll play two spinners in all the matches; if you kick out Jaddu' date=' you'll need to include a spinner in his place.[/quote'] So, according to your formula, even Yusuf Pathan should be in the team
Magneto Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Didn't take a single wicket in last 2 odis' date=' our so-called strike-bowler :haha:[/quote'] Wicketless for two matches is not such a big deal. Still the highest wicket taker for India in the series. :giggle:
Magneto Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 So' date=' according to your formula, even Yusuf Pathan should be in the team[/quote'] You think YP has a great record in the subcontinent in ODIs? :giggle: Check out his record and lemme know :winky:
chainsmoker1985 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 You think YP has a great record in the subcontinent in ODIs? :giggle: Check out his record and lemme know :winky: No need to check. Even i am not a big fan of YP. He is not good for international cricket, now we have IP who is much better than YP

And this is exactly what is happening. Anytime opposition teams will prefer to play against VK over Zaheer Khan or Umesh Yadav or even PK

Anytime opposition teams will prefer to play against VK over Zaheer Khan or Umesh Yadav or even PK That is why Umesh is averaging 68 and VK 32 :giggle: They're gifting VK maidens and wickets and carting Useless Yadav all over the park for fun Generous people these Aussies and Lankans, I tell you.

skindia Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 What has Uthappa done recently to warrant selection? He is doing better than what sehwag and sachin doing in australia right now..other backup openers like rahane and mukund are struggling even in domestics.
chainsmoker1985 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Yes. And that is called match-fixing. :omg: Now this is propaganda against me. I said they wanted to play carefully against VK at the start of the series and wanted him to do reasonably well to stay in the team for the final phases of the tournament. Otherwise you tell me honesty, is it really difficult to play against VK that he was one of the most successful bowlers of the tournament at the start and nobody couldn't get on top of him. And these things happens, teams do play these kinds of cards sir

This final phase of the tournament is crucial. In last 2-3 matches, both have failed. According to plan, Aussie and Lankans have taken the toll off Vinay in last 2 matches and will be looking to do the same in next 2 matches as well. Although Umesh was expected to perform better, but his over-confidence ditched him and fans. Now, next 2 matches are crucial.
