Sreesanth is phenomenal outgoing bowling Coach Eric Simmons in his last interview

The first Hindi words that India's out-going bowling coach Eric Simmons learnt were "acchi aadat" "buri aadat". As he tried to fine tune different Indian bowlers, he used those words to good effect. "I learnt those words and that's what I have been imparting to these guys," he said. "In India you need to be more innovative and have variations because there's not much in the wickets there for the bowlers. Just being patient and sticking to the game plan is one of the lessons we need to learn," he explained. Though he kept a distance from selection matters, Simmons did have an opinion on the controversial selection of RP Singh into the playing eleven in the final Test against England ahead of Munaf Patel. "The one time I was questioned was when RP Singh came back into the side and the point that I did make was that we didn't have a bowler who could touch 145+ mark. Maybe we then needed somebody with a difference and I think that make it go (left-arm seamer) RP Singh's way." Given his experience in dealing with different bowlers, Simmons believes that "Zaheer Khan has a big role to play as a mentor" while "Ishant Sharma should be focusing on Test matches." Vinay Kumar's work ethics impressed the coach who also rates Umesh Yadav as 'one of the most exciting bowlers in the world." Interestingly, he feels that S Sreesanth's skills are just phenomenal.
