Mine would be : Sehwag Gambhir Kohli Parthiv Tiwary Raina Ashwin Irfan Rahul Zaheer Yadav Sachin needs a break - he has looked very ordinary in this series so far to be honest. Jaddu has been hogging his place for no reason, and Sharmaji has just thrown his brains in the gutter along with the tailunt he has had. Ashwin must play as the specialist spinner and Zaheer, Yadav and Irfan must be the three seamers on this Gabba track. This would probably the most balanced side we have had on this tour.

Its painful to see the dominant Sachin look clueless - he looked very ordinary against SAF in SAF in the two games he played, similarly here, he is looking out of place while playing a few strokes.

If we are playing on the same pitch, Lankans have advantage in their bowling..Mahapoof is back too. Perera could create issues.. Need Zak, Yaddu & VK there..Irfu picked few wickets today but Lankans will score heavily against him. Jaddu will play against Lankans.. I think Irfu will be dropped and Ashu will come in..

Both Rohit and Raina can be and should be dropped. They've done zilch on this tour and will continue to do zilch. And if they manage a fifty anyhow ... that will carry them for the next ten matches.

Pappu in the team as Dhoni is out 1 game and opening is the best spot for Pappu as he can at least manage 30s at the top. Lower down he can't score 20. 2. Rohit in the team as he deserves a longer run (the whole series). Kohli got his chance in Tests and Rohit deserves it in odis at least. 3. Dropping Vinay as can't see 4 pacers and would have Irfan (all-rounder) and Umesh (fast bowler) over him. 4. Playing Jaddu as you can't rely on Raina to bowl 10 overs. However, if that's the plan I would replace Jaddu with Tiwary.

+1. Agree with the team as well. Jaddu is useless on non-turning as a bowler too. Raina can do the job with the help of Rohit , Kohli , Sehwag and Tiwary also bowls leg spinner.
