Yes if 2002 were 2007 & Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly & Laxman were all 5 years older & are more 'has beens' that 'would be's. Cab you recall the last time the fab four saved you a test match gritting it out in the 4th innings ? (Yes that was back in 2002 as well)

What is one more test gonna tell us, that the past 3 years havent ? Even if we win the next test, i still wont believe in the middle order, until they show me that they can do this consistently. This team rode on the back of two batsmen in the last 3-5 years: Dravid and Sehwag. One is out of form and the other out of the team. Laxman & Ganguly have just done enuff to retain their spots in this time, while Tendulkar is riding on his past reputation. Now am worried Dravid is going downhill. If that happens, no one can help this team.
