Do We Discourage Lethal Bowlers ?

Yeah of course we do, hear it on this site all the time as well. Sunny in last test, did an anyone hear him have a moment which summed up problem. In comm went in to one and said we need to face it that we will Never have a fast bowler and we need to focus on good length blah blah That's why we have trundlers, its all in the mind and we do our best to to discourage.
But we do have Umesh ! We had Srinath ! The great legend missed them while counting the centuries of all and sundry. That is top level discouragement.

Srinath would have been called a malnourished weakling in his early days had ICF been around in 1990s! Pakka vegetarian, no muscles, lacked strength and at times went for plenty of runs like a ODI vs SA in Delhi in 1991 where SA won chasing 287, which was unheard in those days. Srinath gave some 70-75 runs and lost us the match, a mix of Vinay Kumar and Bapu in those days.
