If he seems like an idiot who has been gullible enough, I'd not mind him making a comeback after a sentence. If he seems like a cunning trickster who was a cold-blooded fixer, I wouldn't want him to be back. It's all about perceptions from such a distance.

I would rather my team gets hammered than field players who don't give their 100% or try to sell their nation for money. That's the reason I don't believe in conspiracy theories that match was fixed when India loses. We recently got hammered 0-8 but we took it in our stride accepting the fact we weren't good enough and some of our players are past our prime, but I will never insult the team or the players by claiming the match was "fixed" or players intentionally threw the game. I can live with losing but not with match-fixers.

Yet despite knowing this, Amir stuck by Butt. They played cricket in Pakistan (not international) together. The guy he saw as his older brother had betrayed his trust, jeopardized his career and made him look a fool, yet he stuck by him. Plus the part he got fooled by these guys. He hadn't done anything illegal, but was then asked to do something illegal to clear his name of the initial 'crime' It makes no sense. Also, wouldn't alarm bells start ringing, when someone you barely know starts asking for your bank details?

Sachinism Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 True, its difficult to tell what's true and what's not. He portrayed himself as soo innocent in the interview. Though I remember the last time he did that, Rameez Raja was on TV and he said Aamir is not as innocent as he is making out to be, I've met him on a few occasions and he is extremely street smart. So for him to portray himself as naive it makes me question the whole thing.
