@chainsmoker1985, I skimmed some of your comments. Ok, you have point with Shakib's threshold of 60-70 runs. He isn't an ODI specialist like Kholi, he is an allrounder. His job is to get 2-3 wickets plus score those 60 runs. He probably should concentrate on lowering his SR and increase the runs a little to 80+. I agree S. Watson is better than Shakib, but we know which team Watson plays for. But disagree that Hafeez is in Watson and Shakib's league as an allrounder.

to me shakib is best all rounder right now..after watson people say kallis but he hasnt done much lately with ball he really has improved his batting...and bowling wise he was always good enough what has hafeez done ? he jsut bullied minnows with bat and u cant compare his bowling with shakib i think shakib is 10 x better

At that time, those two names came to my mind, Watson and Hafeez. There are other quality all-rounders as well, like Kallis and Broad. To some extent, Tim Bresnan as well. All I mean 2 say is, Shakib still needs to improve his game even after playing 125+ games and has got to prove a lot in variable conditions. Yes, we r seeing a NEW Shakib in this Asia Cup but has a long way to go. And If people say, Yuvraj plays for India and Watson plays for Australia, then let me tell making your name in a higher league of players is much difficult than making your name in a weak team like BD. Yet, we r seeing a new BD, but even Kenya reached the WC semi-final. I hope BD doesn't stop here and continues to improve. Coz I watched some matched of BPL and all I noticed that in BPL, there was hardly any upcoming talent from BD. All teams were relying on foreign players

Broad is not an all-rounder :nono: Yes, Watson is better than Sakib and probably so is Kallis but other than these two I don't see anyone else streets ahead of Sakib at the moment. He along with Tamim is the backbone of B'desh team and without him I doubt B'desh would be that competitive.

Bresnan and Broad as all-rounders in comparison to Shakib? :hysterical: They are just bowlers who can bat a bit. Shakib has played well in lots of variable conditions and have Test centuries in NZ and WI (despite being a No.5). So before you bring in a few more ridiculous comparisons and make me , :finger: :finger: to you and let's get done with. :finger: (once more)

Ye le' date=' ek aur bar :finger:[/quote'] One last time - Sachin scored 98 against Pak in the WC2003 but got out way early but since Dravid and Yuvraj handled the rest, Sachin supposedly did not choke But when he scored 175 against Australia and got out, since the rest could not manage the runs, Sachin supposedly choked. Most self-proclaimed cricket analysts don't understand cricket.

Cricket analyst ke lagte chache, Sachin getting out on 98 against Pakistan could not be called choking coz of various factors, (1) He was an opening batsman (2) There were other regular batsmen to come like Yuvraj, Kaif, Mongia and Dravid was at the crease. (3) Most importantly, we won the match. But, Sachin getting out at 175 can definitely be called 'choked' coz he was the main pillar there in that innings at that time and he was batting with the lower order. Most importantly, we lost the match. So,even I am not denying when Sachin choked or not. So once again, ye le :finger: and Shakib choked
