akshayxyz Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Only because Pak team was stronger than India's. When we became stronger you guys did Mumbai 2008 and Sri Lanka in Pakistan 2009 the yearly tours would still continue and we'd still keep defeating you. H2H would have been reversed by then (At least in tests and plenty close in ODIs). Even you know this. ++
deathmonger Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 In 90s when we were the better side we won 26 ODIs against Ind and lost 17. Now that's win ratio of 60%. Now in 2000s Ind were suppose to be the better side but we still edged them 22-18 in 2000s. Now thats a real surprise. Another thing that really surprised me was the fact that both team did better in oppositions home then at their home in 2000s. Is this down to pressure playing at home? First read above post to know about H2H. In early 2000's Pakistan was stronger than they are now (Inzi MoYo Akhtar etc) and we were weaker than now (Kaif ,D.Mongia etc). In the 2008-2009-2010 period when we won everywhere and you guys were losing everywhere if you had played against us then H2H would be very different. Also in series to series ratio it was India 3-1 ODIs, 2-1 Tests and in the end it is the series wins which matter. Heck even overall we have a 4-3 series ratio (tests) against Pakistan. (We have won India 52-53, India 79-80, Pakistan 2003-04, India 2007-08). Pakistan has won India 1987, Pakistan 2006 and Pakistan sometime in the early 80s.
