ViruRulez Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 KANPUR: Trouble for the newly-formed government in Uttar Pradesh is showing no signs of abating. After gunfire in Aurayia by a Samajwadi Party (SP) worker killed a youth, a scuffle turned ugly in Kanpur Monday, leading to the killing of an autorickshaw driver by an SP worker. Police said that both parties were affiliated in "some way or the other to the ruling SP" and the killing was a result of "extortion". The incident took place at Panki when a SP worker allegedly beat a tempo driver to death as the latter refused to pay Rs 300. The deceased has been identified as Ankit Yadav and the assailant has been identified as Prashant Tiwari. Superintended of Police (Crime) Ashfaq Ahmad told IANS that both parties involved were from the SP and the murder was an outcome of a heated argument over extortion. Local SP leaders however said that Tiwari, who runs a hotel in the area, beat the tempo driver to death in a fit of anger after he refused to cough up "parking fees". He was hit by sticks and iron rods after which he collapsed and died on way to a hospital. UP has done a horrible mistake. I had said it in the past and say it now too. Mayawati might be constructing statues or might be a Dalit appeaser but she is still far better than the other options in UP. At least, the law and order had been relatively better during her rule. UP public has voted for the wrong person this time round.
Sachin=GOD Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 The people of UP voted not for SP but for change in the form of a fresh face i.e. Akhilesh Yadav. What they have got is Akhilesh as CM with Mulayam Singh's old Cabinet of Ministers - almost all ministers from MSY's time are there and they've even got their old portfolios. Gundagardi runs in the veins of the SP workers and if Akhilesh acts acts gundagardi he will have to act against his own workers thereby hurting his party and that he won't do ergo he will not be able to run a good Govt.
