come on yaar these videos posted are prior to IPL ... Lara have always a straight opinion abt Sachin.. and his opinion has not changed ever bit. He is not the one who would change his opinion to get some praises... even if lara doesn't praise anyone still he wud be regarded as the best.

SRT better, is more aggressive and more complete than SMG. That said, SMG is one of the best openers ever.

That was the time when opponent bowlers and teams really were scared of Sachin. Pity he had a back injury after 98 and he was never really the same again. He became more of a accumulator since then as earlier he used to be more in the Viv Richards mould. But again maybe you were lucky after all as following Team India in 90s was infuriating and depressing, maybe slightly better than the last year we have endured.

Lee would not even come close to an all time great list of fast bowlers - and it's not just about his average' date=' he was an average to trashy test match bowler for most of his career. He had a few good series, but to put Lee alongside the other bowlers in that list makes absolutely no sense. I did not notice that even ambrose and Waqar were being ignored in that list. And I am baffled to see the dip SRT's average has taken. However, I noticed that the dip is more so because of 1 or 2 bad series, sprecially the 1 he had against SA in 1996 in India. Apart from that, I really did not notice any major failures as a batsman. And as per Lee, what I meant was you will have to judge Sachin by the best bowlers he had faced in various parts of his career. And Lee in 2007-08 was as good as anyone at that point of time.
