I think we have enough talent on the bench in Rohit, Pujara, Mukund and Manoj Tiwary. It's a matter of backing them and the best way to do so is by easing them at home. You don't want youngsters to be given a break on tough tours. That's akin to sink or swim approach and it may help us find a superstar like Kohli, the failure rate is higher using the trial by fire way. That's the reason VVS has to go now coz there's not much use of him at home against kiwis. I am sure the newbies will be able to manage pretty well at home the way Pujara did against Aussies before getting injured. Tendulkar should be the one kept in the time but only till the Eng series at home and after which turn over the keys to the new generation. They may not be a great success initially but surely they can't do worse than 0-8! Plus I would rather watch us struggle with youngsters in the team as there will be a promise of better things to come than play with near 40 year olds with nothing to gain.
