True this. The IPL does create a lot of jobs, albeit for a short period of time. Here is an (old) article talking about the similarities of the IPL crisis and the Financial crisis. http://mostlyeconomics.wordpress.com/2010/04/23/similarities-between-ipl-crisis-and-financial-crisis/ The author says that while the IPL may be an opportunity to grab with both hands for those in search of work (in whatever field) it may not be sustainable in the long run at the way it is currently run.
