In the end it came down to Rush Limbaugh effect. For those who do not know, he is a right wing conservative radio show host who is number 1 rating wise, and also in terms of following. So much so that he is oft spoken as the de-facto Republican party figurehead. Few weeks back he made some comments against a woman supporting birth pills. The comments were sexist at best, and absolutely degrading pig-headedness at worst. It became a sensitive issue and Limbaugh was widely rebuked by everyone, including Republican Party. As is always the case the sponsors were the first one to leave the ship and move on. This is where the story starts. Couple of weeks back I was called in by the powers that be, to help explain, why our Year to Date Numbers are far exceeding the Budgeted Forecast, that too in a sluggish economy. I had seen the numbers go up recently but never bothered much to look at why. But now I had to. Long story short I ended up looking at the outliers, data brought in by disparate systems trying to connect the dots. Did our Marketing finally hit home?? Or did some of our Partners end up sending a load of members our way? Or perhaps many existing members simply renewed and did not cancel? Anyway I sliced it the answer fell short. Perhaps as the last resort I looked at the Call Center data..and thank God for Text Analytics. Here is where the answer started to unravel. You see, my organization was slow to get off the starting block to disown Rush. Apparently we did a Narsimha Rao and pulled an indecision. Turns out that while on a given day about 30 odd sponsors would show up on Limbaugh show, now there was 5 and one was our company. The die-hard members called in, and stated that they were already a member but now wanted the most expensive product because they appreciated we sticking by Limbaugh. Those who had not enrolled other people within their family did so now. The interesting piece was how almost every time they left a comment thanking us to stick by their hero. Well as it turns out we exceeded our Budget expectation on our most expensive product in April 2012 for the entire 2012!! Which means what you know right? Another How to Split bonus thread in 2013. :hmmm: Who says blind faith does not pay...anybody? :secret:

Now you should pwn them and withdraw your advertising :cantstop: BTW I hate these radio shows for couple of reasons: * Hannity and co call people idiots, morons etc, they are so angry that I wonder how they go to sleep everyday and what to they tell their spouse in the morning .. "Off I go honey, I am very angry and will be shouting n crying on radio n TV all day " I mean its weird.. * There are way too many advertisements. I think they speak for less than 3-4 mins at a time and overall at least 50% time is for advertising. So why do people tune in ? And yes all HAIL ANALYTICS ...

Actually we are thinking the reverse. Maybe try to create a controversy on Rachel Maddow show now....and then sit back:nice:

Cant say about political radio shows, they are not something I greatly love. But I do love talk-shows in general. Used to love Adam Corrolla, even dabbled on Howard Stern for a while:whistle: Its fun, specially while driving. You should have Adam Corrola in California...try listening him sometime.:nice:
