Malcolm Merlyn Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 they cant threaten taiwan because uncle Sam is treaty bound to defend taiwan along with thier allies (I think Australia and new zealand)...attacking taiwan is asking for a naval engagement with usa. although china has a massive advantage over usa because of its proximity to the war theater, there is no country in this world which can militarily match usa..if the objective of the war is just destruction. all of usa's military misadventure comes because of its misguided military objectives such as occupying, nation building, most of the times it tries to identify the government as the enemy while assumes a majority of the people as their friend and then pays the price. Heard about India Russia Treaty? China will have to fight war on 2 fronts,againist armies which will be technologically superior.Also Russia declared last year that its no 1st use of nuclear bomb is not applicable in case of China.And in all probability India will get arms and ammunition from USA as well. If China had the capability to wage a war it would have done so in 1971 and few times after that.It didnt.It is not able to even threaten Vietnam Indonesia Thailand in South China sea.China is all rhetoric.
