I wud exhort a comparison of azza and ganguly stats I am sure ganguly will leave him behind in any form of cricket..azhar though was better batsman if u ask me he was one of the most talented batsman of his era but was an under-acheiver Ganguly was a fine batsman; his batting suffered during his captaincy days otherwise he has always been top-notch..

Did you have a middle order with 30,000+ test runs? I don't think so. But we have it, playing for last 6 years, yet we didn't win as many matches as we should have! I'm not even asking about it becoming the number one team or something like that. So yes. We DID miss out!!
