Precambrian Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 There's a difference in being 'harsh' and 'unfair'. You can be harsh with being fair too. BCCI definitely has missed that trick here. Guy took money to spot fix in a tournament which "apparently" was sanctioned by a body affiliated to BCCI.
superstar Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 With regards to under the table deals from agents representing the franchises...like Gambhir stated as well as others' date=' the franchises need to fined or atleast warned...It is afterall the franchises that are enticing the players with all these 'extras' to play for their teams.[/quote'] Highly unlikely. Under the table business happens in every professional league. No way BCCI or court can stop it. There is nothing stopping the cement baron giving a sponsorship deal to retain Dhoni. All paperwork would point to the fact that Chennai Cements are just sponsoring him. I read somewhere Dhoni has a pentahouse in Chennai. I am pretty sure Srini gifted it to him as retainer money.
