jj_28 Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 A long silence follows. Yadav gets up and prepares to leave for the VCA academy, where he will move in a few days to resume full-fledged training. When I step out, I realise how hot it actually is. I ask the driver to turn the car's air-conditioner up. No use. It spews more hot air. It is 46.6°. I wonder how man can survive in this heat. I wonder how the villager Umesh Yadav made the Indian team. The second thought will help me grit it out till the airport. Can you blame heat for being one of the main causes we don't produce genuine quicks? Imagine being a fast bowler bowling in 45 degrees heat on a flat track where theirs no bounce and hardly any swing - NIGHTMARE We can't change the heat but we can make better pitches, pitches that are bowler friendly, pitches that offer bounce, swing so theirs an incentive for young players to become fast bowlers and would doing that make our batsmen better or worse?
