Indians actually love Ponting .. don't you remember the ceremony or function in India where a man tried to kiss Ponting?? :giggle: Ponting may be arrogant at times.... but he is the one of the best cricketers to have ever graced the game. I am not saying Sreesanth should act timid in front of Ponting.. but he needs to learn to be humble .. especially when he is still an amateur in the game and dealing with a living legend like Ponting.
No he doesn't. When you cross the boundary line you are there to win. Sree bowled well in that spell to Ponting in the warm up game. Nothing wrong with letting him know that. He had Punter on the backfoot in all senses. Good on Sree. As for Indians worshipping ponting, you clearly missed the series down under. Like I said you don't know your cricket.

W6oo0.gif It's a ranbhoomi. Santh has sledged Viru and Tendulkar before too in games between Indian green/blue e.t.c. Some bowlers have that fire in their belly. Nothing wrong in that.

WHy should he touch pontings boot when he can knock his stumps over . It does not work that way in sports.On the field you are competing its not the time or place to show respect and i do not mind ponting of all people being abused as he advocated that style of play he has been one of the one of the worst behaved cricketers.In the end you get what you sow.

guy was blessed with all the natural talent in the world and could have gone on to get 300+ test wickets, pity that mentally he is/was such a moron who let it all slip.

Yep. When you go onto the field as a bowler you don't think oh I should go easy on this guy e.t.c. If you do that it affects your bowling style. You always play hard and true to yourself. Like Sree. If Sree was in SA team he would be partnering Steyn right now all these years and Smith would have backed him. :((

But for that sreesanth should be injury free. Saving yourself from injury is also a necessary trait if you wanna be considered a good bowler. No point in bowling one great spell in 3-4 Tests and not play for the rest of the year
