suraj Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 7 dead including the gunman. This is insanity. Ban the freaking guns in this country NOW! Rajiv Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 RIP, seeing CNN - I am hearing some reporter asked if they knew someone in Pakistan. Did someone hear that, are they mistaken that Sikhs are from Pakistan or know the fact that sikhs are also there in Pakistan?
Anonymous Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Exactly- but the converse keeps happening with every incident there is even more cries of " we need guns for self defense" and more applications of guns awful awful situation Exactly, whats with the hillbilly gun culture and they mock the arabs on CNN when they fire their guns in celebration. RIP' date=' seeing CNN - I am hearing some reporter asked if they knew someone in Pakistan. Did someone hear that, are they mistaken that Sikhs are from Pakistan or [b']know the fact that sikhs are also there in Pakistan? Balls, for all its greatness Amerika is full of dumb idiots

1983-2011 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 did CNN really say this:facepalm: Sikh people are not Muslim, but Hindu. They can be easily mistaken for Muslim or Taliban
panesarv Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 shooter dead; 6 people dead; 3 males critical. It's all males; probably the primary feeders of their families. Imagine what their families will go through. DISASTER! :( :(
Rajiv Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 10 years since 911, and we have seen many incidents like this before where Sikhs are mistaken for Taliban. It's hard to media to spin out and point that 'Don't attack Sikhs they are not Taliban, their turbans are not round shaped etc' but there could have been more awareness, they offer free food to anyone no matter what is going on with economy, you have never seen them retaliate anywhere in the world, you don't see them plotting bombs etc Words lie "many trapped inside the temple" was chilling as it brought back memories of you know what!
bangladeshifan Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 i remember when london mobbing happened. sikhs were guarding east london mosque when we were praying inside.
Rajiv Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 ^^ Interviewing someone from the temple and he said " we feed everyone for free and our doors are open, unfortunately someone took advantage of that ", vow - that's just touching
suraj Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 ^^ Interviewing someone from the temple and he said " we feed everyone for free and our doors are open' date=' unfortunately someone took advantage of that ", vow - that's just touching[/quote'] It is really tragic even after the tragedy there have been very sensible responses from the community ( i know they are minority in US but still...)- "Let's find out if this was a hate crime or someone with mental issues etc before any reaction" US has gone nuts with guns

suraj Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 And another man told the station, "Nobody's angry here. We're just confused. Was this a random act? Was this directed at us because of the way we look?"

1983-2011 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 the gunman is dead so we'll never find out his motive, they should catch them before they strike again at some cinema, church or school etc...
