Without such a mechanism the only other option is to have the matches played among the selected teams which once again is out of question. This can only be termed as a theoretical exercise since there's no way any of the teams can be judged to be better than the others. E.g. let's say there are two teams... Team A: SRT, Sehwag, Ponting, Kallis, KP, Raina, Dhoni, Pollock, McGrath, Brett Lee, Murali Team B: Gilchrist, Gayle, Kohli, Sangakarra, ABDV, Hussey, Watson, Afridi, Ajmal, Malinga, Steyn just for a moment assume these players pass the selection criteria. You will strugle to decide who the winner is as you can argue either way which is the stronger team.

there can be a rule where all the chosen players in the draft will have to play 59 Odi or more. jadeja has played 58.

We will have a playoff between the teams inr andomly alloted draws. Each team will have a batting strength = Sum of batting avgs of 11 players (we will take home or away avg depending on the venue) similarly bowling average = Avg of the bowling averages of the top 4 bowlers (again home or away will be taken into account) if team1 and team2 face off, then winner will be the team which has higher Batting Strength / Bowling Strength

The main aim is to have fun, not entirely worry whos gonna win! so, transparent what do you say now?

I think more than winning this is about what kind of team you end up with. I've been part of drafts in other sites and its fun. You start out planning a diff team and end up with a diff team as sometimes you don't get to pick players you wanted. Its all fun.
