Has anyone watched the Bodyline TV series(1984)?. Is Jardine the pioneer of aggressive cricket?

Just finished all 7 episodes yesterday....Very good acting, it does get a bit slow and boring in between but awesome story.... Before Jardine came up with short ball tactics, cricket looked like a past time sport with no physical threat at all. There was national pride, but it was limited to only gentle game between bat and ball. I do believe that it was Jardine's tactics which inspired the future fast bowlers like Marshall, Holding, Lee and Akhtar to bowl at express pace and intimidate the batsmen. And my respect for Harold Larwood tripled after watching the series, great great guy and gave everything for his country.

Have watched that series and it's quite a good one though Pataudi Sr (the real Nawab of Pataudi) wasn't given his full dues in the series. Regards to fast bowling there were two seminal moments in the history of fast bowling... 1. Jardine's leg side theory which curbed Bradman and Australia's run scoring and resulted in rules changes such as not more than 5 on the leg and only two behind square on the leg. 2. Lloyd's use of 4 fast men and doing away with spinners altogether after WI lost a Test to India when ndia chased 404 successfully and WI spinners (I think 2 spinners were playing for WI that game) were unable to stop the Indians. Lloyd supposedly said after the ame he would never rely on spinners again and it led to the dawn of 4 man pace attack which terrorised batsmen facing WI throughout 80s. WI approach to fast bowling led to limit on no. of short balls in an over.
