Sooda Posted February 22, 2013 Share Posted February 22, 2013 ^Normally play a 4-3-1-2 which is what they lined up with but that midfielder in the hole (think it was Boateng) dropping deep and the two forwards spent a lot of time tracking back and defending too..in paractice it was almost a 4-4-1-1 without the ball you could see 2 banks of defenders stifling Barca every time El Sh dropping deep off Pazzini... Niang coming on gave them a bit of pace to counter attack, El Sharawy worked hard and was MOTM yeah, pacy striker with good touch Its almost sad to see their line up now, not long ago it read Gattuso, Pirlo, Ceedrof- Kaka- Inazghi, Shevchenko.. current lot pale in comparision, makes Barcas defeat all the more galling. Yeah. That was why I was wondering if they "parked the bus"! For the last part : So true. You missed out Ibrahimovic there, it was such a good team but still they failed to make UCL semis last year.
