Oh, you think it's ok that the prime minister of India let the riots continue for THREE whole days! He was the most powerful man in the country and did nothing to stop the riots. When asked about the riots he said his famous quote, 'When a big tree falls, the earth around shakes', to justify why it was happening. This in my view makes him a terrorist. In any self respecting country he would have been forced to resign. I think the majority of Americans supported the invasion of Iraq back in 2003, does that mean it was right? The majority of Hindus may have thought it was right to invade the Golden temple like that but I can assure you that the majority of Sikhs did not.

Don't know what happened before Ranvir's post but that one seems fine. I agree Indian people can move on once certain people are convicted and I still dislike how Congress are government after betraying many citizens back then. Others not perfect but still a better option. Both the terrorists and government were at fault back in 84. The rioters were turned against certain citizens by media controlled by government. The media blackout in Punjab was also a disgrace. Also in 2 days Pakistan couldn't have suddenly assembled a large army to come and help, there is not enough at the border. So the government was at fault. And there is never an excuse for betraying trust of innocent citizens. Ranvir was saying that attack killing innocents wasn't right. So let it be. Wasn't it out of order to first carry rocket launchers, AK47s and land mines inside the Golden Temple and then remove the undies on the topic of "disrupting the tranquillity of the Temple" when they were rightfully taken to task? Why is it so difficult for people to admit that Bhindranwale was wrong to carry weapons in the temple? Why is it so difficult for people to admit that a terrorist was using a Temple as a shield to protect himself? Why weren't the peace-loving people vocal when they saw those weapons inside the Temple? Did everyone collectively get blind?

Please tell me how long Terrorism was their in Punjab before 1984? Nirankari -Sikh Clash of 1978 was the first point when Sikh Radicals started getting support .
