I take it you watched the Ranji final which Mumbai lost by 2 runs . He was unconsolable on the ground.He was crying his heart out after he brought his side to within an inch of Ranji win. What a competitive tournament that used to be.

I didn't watch it was too young but I deeply appreciate history though unlike few others here who think the modern game is the BEST and all oldies are hacks. Ranji Trophy was the ONLY tournament Kapil Dev had not won and this is how we eventually won it. Vengsarkar slammed some lesser known Haryana bowler for 24 runs in an over for an amazing counter attack. Colonel has always been one of my favorite cricketers. I have even spoken to him once or twice and what this man has done at the grass root level is just amazing.

Thus, their reactions does not vary in either situation.[/quote'] I agree with you...however players like Dravid who realise its "only a game" while still giving 100% probably have a more balanced outlook which has a positive impact on their game and see things more objectivly rather than clouded with emotions. If Kohli loses he is probably down and depressed for days and if he wins goes OTT Flintoff style (look what happened to him).
