lol, knocked out by a 2nd string yorkshire team Undone by Ryan Sidebottom who's getting on a bit but still a fantastic bowler PS I find it sad that the T&T's West indian stars chose/are forced to play for their IPL teams rather than there home teams

atleast they got $500,000 participation fee and $450,000 from the IPL for their players..... not bad really when you think about it. apart from the ipl i think most teams want to make as much money as possible.

IIRC, Only teams in the main draw get 500,000 $. The losing qualifiers get nothing.

IIRC' date=' Only teams in the main draw get 500,000 $. The losing qualifiers get nothing.[/quote'] hmm i read participation fee for all teams? I could be wrong. but the wiki entry says participation fee of $500,000 for every team and also a prize draw of $6 mill from the main tournament

But it could be that the participation fees are not included in the 6 million prize money. If they are indeed paid 500,000 just for showing up, thats a bad business plan. A crap team like uva and sailakot gets 500,000 just for beating other crap teams in their countries, meanwhile aces, which will play 4 more games than these 2, if eliminated in the next stage get only 200,000 more. The participating fees should for qualifiers should be reduced to 200,000 or so and more incentive should be given to qualifying.
