The Outsider Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Yes it was a probables list rather than squad but 24 man not 30.And Sehwag did replace Gambhir who was injured and in the initial list. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ausvind/content/story/325154.html From the article I never said Gambhir played the tests. What i meant was Karthick would have replaced Yuvi in the Australia tour if it was Gambhir rather than Sehwag , the alternative to Karthick.Afterall Karthick had a very good series as an opener in England series . Yeah, usually they are 30 probables - couldn't recall there were only 24 here. But my point was more to do with the declaration to allow for Karthik's 50 - I watched the match with sleepy eyes well into the morning and while I share your frustration at Kumble not having declared earlier I don't think it had anything to do with Karthik's 50. It was a matter of getting the RRR over 7. Even Pathan was playing without any urgency at the time.
CricLind Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Rather than these 3, I think it's Rahane. 19 FC centuries in so few matches is something worth noting.
