Kudos to South Africa

Can't believe there's no thread appreciating South Africa's feat against Aus. SA lost Philander and Duminy before the Test, and lost Kallis - their best player - on the 1dt day, they went on to concede 550 at 5 rpo, conceded a huge lead and in the 4th innings were 4 down for less than 50 when they had to bat out 4 and a half sessions to draw the game. And SA still managed to save the match :hatsoff: They showed tremendous heart and every batsman put up a fight right from Faf Du Plessis, ABDV, Kallis and the bowlers. Hope Indian team take a page out of SA book on how to put up a fight. ABDV played the slowest innings of more than 30 runs, Faf batted 8 hrs for an unbeaten 100, Kallis battled on one leg in both innings and even bowlers put up a fight with no cheap wkts for Aussies. On the other hand when we toured Eng & Aus, we couldn't even last 70 overs most of the innings, tail-enders like Zak couldn't even last 4-5 deliveries and there was no fight shown over 8 Tests and 2 series. Congratlations SA for the fightback and you do deserve the no. 1 ranking based on the fight you have shown in adversity.

Congrats SA. One of the best Tuk Tuk batting I have seen. And those two crucial decisions against Du Plessis... DRS saved him rightly...oh boy! Otherwise, it was over.

This lack of fight is what hurts Indian fans the most. We can take defeats, as our record shows historically, but what is galling is how the team just rolls over and dies when the going gets tough. Under Ganguly and generally in 2000s we had become much better and at least always showed up no matter what but looks like we are back to old ways of not bothering when things get a little hot. Sad state of affairs and hope BCCI and selectors do something about it.
