Tiger-Don Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 http://www.espncricinfo.com/bangladesh/content/current/story/599167.html Bangladesh will only tour Pakistan if the security situation in the country improves, BCB chief Nazmul Hassan has said. Hassan, who addressed a press conference in Dhaka on Monday, was noncommittal on the issue, not saying 'yes' or 'no' to the proposed tour, but made it clear in various ways that the January visit is ruled out for the moment. Go on the link for more.... And here's something else: http://www.espncricinfo.com/bangladesh/content/current/story/599200.html A timeline of how many times we trolled them: :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: November 23, 2011 In return for Pakistan's support of Bangladesh's candidate for the post of the ICC vice-president, Pakistan proposes that Bangladesh tour their country. December 17, 2011 The BCB decides to send a security-assessment team to Pakistan ahead of a proposed short tour, after new the PCB president Zaka Ashraf visits Dhaka for a one-on-one meeting with his Bangladesh counterpart. The two endorse Mustafa Kamal as the ICC vice-president, pending BCB approval. March 4, 2012 As reservations about the proposed tour are expressed from within and outside the country, the Bangladesh board says it is satisfied with Pakistan's security arrangements, after it conducts a two-day assessment tour headed by Kamal. March 7, 2012 The ICC introduces a "special dispensation" to be made only in "exceptional circumstances", in order to ensure that bilateral series are played even if the ruling body has determined it "unsafe" to appoint its officials for such series. March 12, 2012 Amid growing pressure from within Bangladesh against the tour, BCB chief Kamal says he wouldn't let the team tour if the ICC doesn't agree to send match officials. Ashraf retaliates, saying bilateral relations hinge on the tour. April 15, 2012 Kamal announces Bangladesh's tour to Pakistan, scheduled at the end of April. But he does this from Dubai, as the BCB directors remain unaware of any such decision, it having not been discussed in any meeting till that point. April 19, 2012 The Dhaka High Court orders the tour to be suspended for the next four weeks after a writ petition was filed by a university teacher and a Supreme Court lawyer, who challenged the tour. The Pakistan board reacts sharply. November 1, 2012 New BCB chief Nazmul Hassan says that a written commitment has been made to the PCB from the Bangladesh board to tour Pakistan. He adds that most of the board's directors weren't aware of such a commitment. December 14, 2012 Hassan confirms talks are on with the PCB about touring in January, just before the Bangladesh Premier League. He says the players will decide if they want to go, while the foreign staff are unlikely to be keen to on it. A top PCB official hints that the Bangladesh Premier League will be Pakistan's bargaining chip to ensure Bangladesh's tour. December 22, 2012 Hassan says, from London, that the BCB are awaiting a security clearance from the ICC, though the game's governing body had already given its special dispensation months ago. This after PCB chief Ashraf has said earlier on the day that the PCB has been "conveyed" a decision confirming the tour. December 31, 2012 The BCB president confirms that Bangladesh will not be touring in January, and will wait until the security situation improves in Pakistan. He says the BCB are ready to face the consequences, chiefly the boycott of Pakistan players from the BPL. Now if you read the comments on Cricinfo,You'll see how many pakistanis are saying we don't want a school level team in this country anyway....and all other bullshit! Now they're potty mouthing! Thats why no one's going there anyway! Good Job BusyBee.
Iconoclast Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 BD no match for Pakistan ... they should tour India instead ... would be some cracking matches.
Tiger-Don Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 BD no match for Pakistan ... they should tour India instead ... would be some cracking matches. exactly what im talking about! :winky:
ganeshran Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 :haha::haha: Mustafa Kamal trolled PCB after getting Pak's support for his ICC vice president's post
Tiger-Don Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 ^^ Wwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaattttttttt!
Iconoclast Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 exactly what im talking about! :winky: This is a golden opportunity for you guys to beat India in India ... make it happen !
Tiger-Don Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 This is a golden opportunity for you guys to beat India in India ... make it happen ! Yeah definitely, and a looser team like Bangla not visiting that beautiful land just might be a blessing in disguise for you guys... maybe now you can get teams like Australia or England to play there...Plus, Ashraf said that they'll invite a better team...fine then why did you guys go gaga over us anyway??
Iconoclast Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Yeah definitely' date=' and a looser team like Bangla not visiting that beautiful land just might be a blessing in disguise for you guys... maybe now you can get teams like Australia or England to play there...Plus, Ashraf said that they'll invite a better team...fine then why did you guys go gaga over us anyway??[/quote'] ????? :WTF: Hey at least we invite you for a series unlike India.
Tiger-Don Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 ????? :WTF: Hey at least we invite you for a series unlike India. we know that! and we appreciate that too! that's why are board president said that we have too accept however the PCB treats us from now on! no Pakistan players in bpl, fine...no problem! And its not like we'll never go to Pakistan... if you read at the top link carefully, BCB pres said that we'll go because we are committed too...and if Pakistan does start holding international matches, Bangladesh will probably be the first one to go there! But the other thing is that, you guys need to understand whats going on in your country! Its just not safe! lets fix the domestic problems first and then head on to international.. :icflove:
ganeshran Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 The truth is that PCB would have given an arm and a leg for Bangladesh to come and tour Pakistan to prove its safety for international cricket hoping it would pave the way for other teams to come and visit. Now that the BCB refused, the sour grapes and false bravado shown by PCB doesnt really cut it. Bangladesh's ordinary cricket record doesn't mean its players should care any less about security. The situation in Pakistan is not conducive to International cricket right now with frequent bomb explosions and bad press. Even if the ground reality isnt as bad as what the media portrays, perception and world opinion still make it very difficult for touring boards and fans to agree to a tour. PCB should organize more domestic tournaments/exhibition matches to keep the following of cricket alive and hope the government takes concrete steps to improve security.
yoda Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 wow BD and Pak, the conjoined twins separated by evil India. nice to see the mutual love despite the separation.
Tiger-Don Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 BCB had a meeting with our current and former cricketers couple of days ago to hear about their opinions on this tour and all of them agreed and said they've no beef on traveling to Pakistan for a short series. So its goes to show that this decision has some thinking behind it and not some stupid lame reason!
1983-2011 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 if pak stops their players from BPL then it will deffo become below poverty line
