CG Posted January 9, 2013 Share Posted January 9, 2013 see I want Dhoni at 4 too.so top 4 should be able to last 15 overs imo.things arent as bad:--D about Yuvraj's centuries,sure,not doubting his ability.but hes not in form.wen in form he could do that.but now he tends to throw it away.he never really curbs hs strokeplay.Raina did okay,but we miss his power strokes.which we could hv at the end.he didnt really do what hes good at.was out of his comfort zone. Jadeja lacks strokeplay,but is decent wen he just needs to survive n knock it around.ditto with Ashwin.as for other spinner over Jadeja we cant really have 4 tailenders.if we play 3 seamers n Irfan isnt there,Jaddu is necessary Dhoni will never bat at four in these type of conditions.He knows he will struggle.Jadeja will not last in these conditions anyway ,If yuvi is not in form drop him and play somebody who can get thorugh new ball.Jadeja ,ashwin are not long term bets.We are plannign for australia and we need a good toporder as conditons are going to difficult. I cannot see how jadeja at no 8 can fit in to india eleven when we tour,even at home with yuvi playing and ashwin batting above him he should not be in the team. Link to comment
