Drop them please from both the ODI and Test squads pls. Let Ishant play domestic cricket regularly for a season or 2 and maybe send him to England or somewhere else to play some. And Dinda well, maybe he can be sent too, but he is pretty mediocre right now.

I would recycle guys like RPS or Munaf or Irfan instead of playing Ishant. Dinda however deserves more chances before being dropped.

how can some one stay so crap for so long! :(( specially when u showed so much potential at start...i dont think any one has wasted talent like him
He is just dumb. Has the Physical attributes to be a very good bowler and also decent skill level, but just doesn't have the mental nous to take wickets and know where and what to ball. Beats bat 2 times in Tests and gets all frustrated. Has been told time and again to pitch it up and work on his seam position but hasn't improved either too.

In what form ? Frankly, i don't know on what basis he was selected for anything other than T20 anyway. He is a mediocre domestic bowler even.

i think he is done for now would need 2-3 years to become better bowler it was jsut frustrating to see shami and bhuvan bowling so well and then ishant coming in and bowling filth like always ..as senior bowler he should have done better u cant even blame conditions and those 2 were bowling some peach balls and beating bat consistently

Ishant's problem is he is really, really dumb. Its common sense that on a slow wicket like the one today, if you bang it in short, the ball will sit up nice and easy for the batsmen to play shots and yet, he keeps bowling short at least once or twice in an over. If someone who has played international cricket for 5+ years doesnt understand this, nothing much can be said. He is not smart enough to get top class batsmen out despite having the potential to be a great bowler.

The difference between him and Shami was seam position and length. Ishant bowls short with a wayward seam. He just needed to sort these 2 things out since he burst onto the scene. Hasn't improved either. Just got quicker but that alone is of no use.

Not for tests for sure.

He can nip' date=' seam and swing it way more than Ishant at a decent pace[/quote'] On flat pitches, I have seen him go for plenty but in helpful conditons, I agree that he could be a handful. Has he played enough cricket after his comeback from injury ?
