saneindian
LSRK talking about Ojha having changed his run up from a diagonal one to a straighter one. Says was bowling with the changed run up in the 1st innings and has gone up to his old run up now. Link to comment

saneindian
What an idiotic field setting by Bhajji. Link to comment

Even in this match Tare who is not a opener is opening and not him. Link to comment

They'll pick Raina for that otherwise. Link to comment

He is not a opener for that reason as a opener has to go through long patches of no runs and defending. Plus at 6 and 7 many times you have to face second new ball anyway, which is what both Raina and Dhoni struggled with in England. Neither Rohit or Rayudu are sloggers either. Link to comment
Cevno
Rahane may do well opening in India but he will certainly do better in the middle order abroad, imo. Link to comment
Cevno
Rahane was known to be a attacking batsman and quicker scorer than Rohit when he was averaging 69. He is more circumspect these days perhaps because he is out of form. He may not be a power hitter but he isn't a Aakash Chopra type player either, which is a impression some have. He can score quicker than Rohit and Rayudu in the longer form easily even though they might have edge in shorter forms. Link to comment
kubrickian
Rahane looks like a proper test batsmen with the right technique and temperament. He should always be in the reckoning over Raina and Rohit. Rayudu is also a good batsman but I doubt he will get picked for this series. Link to comment

Neither Rohit or Rayudu are sloggers either. an opener needs to rotate strike too.can't allow bowlers to bowl at one batsman only.Smith an Peterson regularly do that. I'd rather care about 1st new ball than 2nd. Rohit and Rayudu are strokeplayers like VVS.they dont get bogged down,we dont need sloggers there.Tiwary is an option too there Link to comment
Cevno
Probably calling Srinivasan right now and asking if he wants to Veto something. :giggle: Link to comment
